One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

GUNNER PALACE | Some war stories will never make the nightly news.
I will start by saying that I am not trying to push a political idea. If you want to discuss the War in Irag, I would be happy to do so off line.
This site is a blog in support of a movie. What is interesting for our purposes is how the blog has been done. From the blog’s introduction:
This diary, compiled by Gunner Palace directors Mike Tucker and Petra Epperlein, consists of notes from the production of the film in 2003-2004 and emails sent from 2/3 FA soldiers during their 410 day deployment to Baghdad and Najaf.
What on earth does this have to do with the church? Let your imagination run free. Imagine being able to tell a story this way about your new church building project or mission trip.
What I love about the idea behind a blog is the transparency that comes with documenting an event, project, or life in general. Imagine your own Gunner Palace blog that allows other readers to know what is happening in your ministry.

Exactly! The idea that you can share a project or activity with the world (or those in your ministry who care, anyway) in real time is exciting. It also opens the door to ideas/thoughts that perhaphs couldn’t have existed before.
Think about being able to have the things you’re involved in complemented or enhanced by the real-time feedback of others.
