One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

From Wade C.
I am a person that learns and comprehends more completely when I hear information rather than read or see it. I also know many people who prefer listening to books on audio media because they can do so while on road trips or if they have a long commute to work. For people like us there is a great resource available called an audio Bible.
There are many audio Bibles you can purchase (most bible bookstores will carry them) on cassette tape, audio CD or even MP3 CD format. Also available are online resources where you can listen to an audio bible from a website (for a few examples there is a list of audio bible resources on biblegateway.com at the URL - http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/audio/info.php#1). Here is the problemz: to buy and audio Bible costs between $50 and $100, and all of the websites that I have found where you can listen for free are in a format that doesn’t allow you to download the bible to listen on an MP3 player or other audio device.
It would seem that since the bible is distributed so freely in text format, and even translated into different languages, audio formatted bibles should be shared just as freely. Is it not available simply because nobody has invested the time and resources to produce a decent audio bible for free distribution? Or, even worse, is there one out there that someone did invest in for free distribution but has faded into obscurity due to lack of marketing?
If you have any information on a good, free MP3 audio bible please share.
