A Second (life) Helping

There’s a fascinating concept on the internet right now. It can be found at SecondLife.com. The site is based on the marriage of some very talented and visionary designers with thousands of people just like you and me. In a literal way, an average internet user can join Second Life and create an entire new digital life. Let’s suppose that you want to be the world’s first bird-man – half bird, half man. In the world of Second Life you can do exactly that. You can also buy land, fly around, build your own business where people actually pay you for products and services with a unique currency. As a matter of fact, Second Life currency actually has an exchange rate with the U.S. dollar. Although it’s not a recognized world currency, there are people buying money the same way you would if you were going to Canada or Mexico.

There is so much potential to explore and interact with other people that I’m planning to go there and build a place called “BetaCreed”. It will be an experiment to see what kind of people I can get to interact with me. I;m hoping the interaction will focus on hearing people’s ideas on religion and God; their likes, dislikes and general curiosity.

I’ll keep you posted as these events unfold.
