One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

WOW! This is a big deal. Well, to me anyway.
A new television series will be released online under the Creative Commons license.
Each episode will be available as it is done and the episodes will be archived.
Imagine doing this fro your church. Some places have begun it, it would be a neat way to minister to shut-ins, and folks in hospitals and retirement centers. You could put your sermon or event on the web and let others see it.

Agreed - Calvary Chapel of Austin, where I have been attending for years, blew me away the first time we sat in their service and they announced that they stream services live in video for those that can’t make it. They also archive their services in audio format, which now go back many many years. For those interested in seeing what this looks like, check out our archives:

The first time you receive an email from someone in another state or another country, thanking you for the power of God’s Word streaming over the web and how it has changed their life, you’ll never look back again!
