One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

GospelCon 2005, hosted by GospelCom (creator of BibleGateway.com), is a conference that focuses on equipping churches and organizations for online ministry and evangelism. This is a phenomenal conference for honing your internet skills as well as get cutting edge ideas to implement with what you are doing currently.
Here, to whet your appetite, is a quick list of topics that are being covered:
Online Ministry
- Integration of online/offline ministry
- Effective internet evangelism
Marketing
- Website usability
- Information Architecture
- Stats analysis
- Email marketing
- Non-profit marketing
Technology
- In-depth CSS
- RSS
- Podcasting
A new feature that has been added this year is a Contractor Fair. With the Contractor’s Fair, any attendee can sign up for a free 30-minute session with a contractor. In this session you can get valuable feedback and critique regarding your website and any other internet related topic.
There is quite a long list of contractors to choose from, but if you are going you should consider booking a session with BetaChurch’s own Stephen Hallgren.
Hope to see you there!
