One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

OneCare

I am excited about the idea of Microsoft and the OneCare system. I believe that it could dramatically effect the thousands of small churches all across the country that have simple peer to peer networks. With a real firewall (2-way) and auto updates, wide open networks can be greatly reduced.
The one advantage that the open source camp has over the proprietary camp is the global contribution of solutions to the problem of security. In open source land, if a problem is found, it can be fixed in hours. The OS is the patched and away everyone goes.
I wonder what Microsoft’s response will be to that. Will there be a larger network contributing to the love and care of your local machine?
