PAYABLE ON DEATH

I recently purchased the newest P.O.D. album. It is very good in case you are wondering.

What was interesting though was what came with it. Normally an album sells for around $10 on iTunes. Honestly, I do not buy CD’s anymore. iTunes has made it WAY to easy to get music. In fact, I have to be careful how much music I buy in a month!

The new P.O.D. album however was selling for about $14. The difference in price included something that I think is pretty fantastic.

With the new album, you get 2 additional videos, an interactive booklet and a conversation with the band about every song on the album while the music is playing. I love music and knowing WHY an artist chooses a chord progression or what the lyrics mean. It is a big deal to me. I did not see how you could buy the album with out all that extra stuff and that is something to consider. However, talk about a completely interactive environment.

Imagine if your sermon series or bible study series was downloadable and contained audio, video and an interactive booklet.

What would you do differently if your site delivered a complete media package instead of simply saying, “This Sunday we will have….”? It is not impossible or too expensive.
