One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

Introducing Blake Atwood
written by jason.g

I would like to introduce Blake Atwood. He will be a contributor to the BetaChurch efforts starting Friday. Blake has written for suite101.com in the past and has been looking for a new outlet. When he found BetaChurch, he contacted us and asked about contributing. After reading some of his stuff, I got very excited.
Blake’s first article will appear on Friday (3/3).
Read more about Blake Here:
Blake Atwood lives and moves and has his being in Georgetown, Texas, a city just north of Austin. He grew up quite conservatively in a small town in Texas, then attended a liberal arts college in Georgetown that lived up to its description of liberal. He now lies somewhere in between, yet relishes the paradox.
He currently works at FBC Georgetown (due for a redesign soon!) as their web designer and admin, scattered tech support, both for the staff and the membership, music assistant, drummer, publications editor, and lifter of heavy boxes. He also helped to form and is still quite involved with terranova, a postmodern/college/singles church that meets at FBC Georgetown.
He is quite happily married to someone he considered quite out of his league, which only furthered his belief in a great, loving, and gracious God. They have a dustball, also known as a picapoo, named Mia. He enjoys reading, drumming, tivo, his psp, music, learning how little he really knows about the web, his job, his new house, and golf.

We're working on getting people involved too, but before the sermon is preached,...
