One thing that I do not hear discussed is the reasons why you even need a website. In my consulting work, I will frequently ask if the client is sure that they need a website.

LifeChurch.tv Offers Free Creative Content for Churches

LifeChurch.tv is one church with multiple locations that produces a lot of content, video and otherwise. They’ve seen fit to make much of it free for the downloading, from teaser videos and loops, to graphics, outlines, and small group questions, even to downloadable ISO files of entire messages for burning to a DVD. If you’re hard-pressed for a sermon series or would just like to see what others have done, this is a great resource.
Also, why don’t most churches offer something like this? Do any sites exist that aggregate media resources from a multitude of churches for free distribution to other churches? Is that something that you the reader would be interested in?

A central source would be awesome!
More and more churches are doing this, which makes sense. I love the idea of centralizing it.
Ben D. March 23rd, 2007 at 2:34 pmBen, or any others, could you list some other churches that are doing this along with their respective addresses? LifeChurch was the first one I’d seen, and I found them just browsing through the internets.

Ben D. March 24th, 2007 at 3:37 pmI’ve been gathering a list of quality resources on my site. It mainly has ones like Ben mentioned on the media side right now, but if anyone knows of any others, let me know! There’s a lot of great stuff out there…
