SurveyMonkey
written by Ben DubowSunday, April 22, 2007
We are currently doing a church-wide survey at St. Paul’s Collegiate Church using the online survey tool SurveyMonkey. I really believe in the power of surveys and evaluation in the church. Our survey is covering everything including evaluating preaching, web use, music, children’s ministry, giving, serving, parking, spiritual growth, personal evangelism, demographics, etc.

Second Life Ministry
written by Ben DubowMonday, March 19, 2007
Awhile back, Dave posted about Second Life and ministry possibilities there. It turns out that two of the most innovative ministries in the country–in terms of the use of technology and connecting to people where they are at–have launched ministries in Second Life. written by Ben DubowSaturday, February 24, 2007
I just got back from a Purpose-Driven Conference at Saddleback Church. It was a fantastic conference with tons of take-aways. (Read some of my general thoughts on the conference here). Text Message Sermon
written by Ben DubowSunday, February 11, 2007
Tonight we tried something different and I think innovative in our service at St. Paul’s Collegiate Church. The message was on prayer and we invited people to text message me during the service and message with questions, comments and reactions to the message and on the topic of prayer. Some of the “texts” got integrated into the message in “real time” while others…
Understanding Web 2.0
written by Ben DubowThursday, February 8, 2007
WEB 2.0 is a term that gets thrown around a lot. Bobby Gruenewald has posted a YouTube video that does a nice job of explaining and capturing what Web 2.0 is and why it is pretty revolutionary. You should check it out and let me know what you think. LINK: web 2.0 at LifeChurch.tv : swerve
Dave is a Second Life newbie
written by Dave MerwinThursday, January 11, 2007
For those of you who do not know, Second Life is a paid online community taking place in a completely interactive virtual world. What a fascinating place. A completely virtual world with out constraints like death or physics, disease or a personal history. My head is spinning with what this new world represents. What it will mean to sociology? What will it mean to corporate responsibility?

We're working on getting people involved too, but before the sermon is preached,...
